Doctor of Occupational Therapy

Dr. Newal Osman is a licensed occupational therapist who specializes in working with adults and adolescents with neurodivergent, chronic condition, and lifestyle management needs. Her areas of clinical expertise include assessment of functional cognition, sensory processing, executive functioning, environmental modifications, compensatory strategies, habit and routine formation, and accommodations in the school and workplace. Dr. Osman seeks to create an empowering, collaborative, and therapeutic environment when supporting her clients. Her therapeutic approach has been described as patient, goal-oriented, and holistic. Dr. Osman guides her clients in developing nervous system regulating habits, routines, and lifestyle changes to support meaningful engagement in their everyday activities and create a more personally meaningful life. 

Dr. Osman obtained a master's and clinical doctorate from the University of Southern California. During her residency in the Advanced Clinical Practice track at the USC Occupational Therapy Faculty Practice, she provided OT services, both in person and via telehealth, utilizing the Lifestyle Redesign® intervention framework to support individuals with ADHD, anxiety, depression, chronic migraines, chronic pain, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and other complex health conditions. Dr. Osman’s passions lie in building cultures of belonging though her work, which led to facilitating her residency’s monthly Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) support group aimed to provide a space for people living with MCAS to exchange information, provide and receive support, and learn about resources to help cope with their condition

In her free time, Dr. Osman loves to cook and bake new recipes, enjoy game nights with friends and family, and travel to explore new places and cultures.
