Clinical Services
Therapy.
Our team uses client-centered, neurodivergent-affirming, skill-based strategies to help children, adolescents, and adults improve their ability to regulate emotions, target anxiety and mood concerns, increase flexibility, improve friendships and social relationships, and build independent living skills. Our occupational therapists address common issues that interfere with daily life, including executive function challenges, sensory processing differences, emotional dysregulation, fine motor challenges, and low-self esteem. We have Certified PEERS® Providers and offer social skills treatment on a one-on-one basis. Treatment is always individualized to target specific goals based on each person’s unique needs and priorities, and skill-building practice is assigned outside of session to help with generalization into daily life.
Parent Services.
We offer individualized parent management training (PMT) to teach strategies to decrease challenging behaviors using positive behavioral supports and appropriate consequences. We also support parents in helping their child overcome anxiety. Occupational Therapy for Parenting is dedicated to empowering parents with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the complexities of parenting, while also prioritizing their own well-being. Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention (NDBI) strategies can be used to increase a child’s social communication and play skills, improve active engagement in everyday activities, support development of daily living skills, and facilitate successful peer interactions.
Assessment.
We offer comprehensive, neuropsychological, ASD, and ADHD diagnostic evaluations for children, teens, and adults with concerns related to autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, learning differences, attentional difficulty, hyperactivity, anxiety, and/or mood problems. Evaluations may include interviews, a play- or activity-based assessment, cognitive or developmental testing, and academic and/or executive functioning testing. Test results, diagnoses, and recommendations are discussed thoroughly during feedback to give the individual and/or family a roadmap for the future. Comprehensive diagnostic reports are also available for clients that they may wish to share with other professionals or for accommodations or support services.
Neurodivergent Support Groups.
Our Adult Neurodivergent Support Group offers a space for individuals to meet other neurodivergent adults and receive support around topics of importance to group members (e.g., social and romantic relationships, identity development, autism in the workplace, etc.). The group is LGB1OLA+ inclusive. A diagnosis is not required, though identification with the neurodivergent population is recommended.
Our Neurodivergent Teen Girls Support Group is appropriate for female and gender diverse 13-17 year olds who are interested in having a safe, supportive space to share their successes, challenges, and build a community around neurodivergence.
