Dr. Wood completed the Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. The research for her doctoral training in Neuroscience was primarily located at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland and focused on developing novel magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy techniques as biomarkers of neurodegeneration. Dr. Wood received her residency and fellowship training in psychiatry at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, the UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, and the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center.
