Deanna Dow, PhD | Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Deanna Dow is the founder and clinical director of Spectrum Psych LA. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families through assessment, intervention, educational, and research programs. She specializes in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and has trained with leading experts across the country, contributing to research in the field related to early detection and diagnosis of autism, parent-implemented treatment strategies, and co-occurring disorders including anxiety, depression, and suicidality. She previously worked as an Attending Psychologist leading social skills groups in the PEERS® Clinic, in Dr. Catherine Lord’s research lab on the development of the Brief Observation of Symptoms of Autism (BOSA), as well as in the Child and Adult Neurodevelopmental (CAN) Clinic, Parent Training Program, JASPER Baby Bears intervention study, Family STAR (Stress Trauma and Resilience) Clinic, ABC Child Partial Hospitalization Program, Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program, and Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital Inpatient Service.
Dr. Dow is originally from Michigan and moved to California in 2017. She lives in Santa Monica with her husband, three children, and golden retriever mix, Logan. Favorite weekend activities include trips to the beach, bike rides, hiking, and exploring new areas of Los Angeles!
